The European Commission's decision to take legal action against the Czech Republic over the latter's decision to procure military aircraft without tender raises serious questions concerning the EU's involvement in its member states' military deals.rnThe commission announced on 28 October that it would take the Czech Republic to the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg following Prague's 2009 decision to acquire four Airbus Military C-295M tactical transport aircraft-valued at EUR132 million (USD187 million) - without a tender process.
