The US Marine Corps (USMC) has postponed its December 2012 deadline for declaring an initial operating capability (IOC) for its variant of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter (JSF).rnGeneral James Amos, the USMC Commandant, told Pentagon reporters on 14 December that the service's F-35B short take-off/ vertical landing (STOVL) variant would not reach IOC as planned because of testing delays.
