Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Chief Admiral Datuk Abdul Aziz Jaafar has expressed frustration over the failure of offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) KD Kedah and KD Pahang to achieve Mission Capable Category 1 status last year. White praising the RMN for its successes - in particular the anti-piracy mission in the Guff of Aden and the training of the navy's submarine force - Adm Aziz also said in an 8 January address that he had been disappointed by KD Pahang's failure to deploy in October as originally planned.
