The US Army will receive seven more C-27J Spartan transport aircraft from L-3 Communications a) a cost of USD203 million, the company announeed on 20 April.rnThe order brings the total number of aircraft scheduled for delivery to the US military's Joint Cargo Aircraft (JCA) programme to 13.rnJCA is a joint venture between the US Army and the US Air Force.The 13 aircraft currently under contract are all scheduled for delivery to the army, according to Lance Martin, a spokesman for L-3.rnSo far, two aircraft Have been delivered to the army and the remainder are still in production.
