The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and BVT Surface Fleet have signed a deal dt signed to establish a new industrial framework for the delivery of UK warship construction and through-life support over the next 15 years.rnIntended to transform the delivery of shipbuilding and support to the Royal Navy (RN) on a through-life basis, the agreement is a central part of the MoD's overarching Maritime Change Programme. It addresses a raft of structural challenges in the naval sector first : articulated in the December 2005 Defence Industrial Strategy.
