Having recently announced that its international defence revenues increased by 33 per cent to GBP499 million (USD808 million) during the first half of 2009 and with a total forward order book standing at GBP16.7 billion at the end of June 2009, UK-based services company Serco is among the companies prevailing during the global economic downturn.rnFor Bob McGuiness, Chief Executive of Serco Defence, Science and Technology (DST), the reason for this success is relatively simple: "We deliver services more efficiently and pretty much always at a reduced cost. People turn to us in good times and they are even more likely to do that during difficult times.
