The UK Royal Navy (RN) has placed the inaugural order for BAE Systems' Q-Sight helmet-mounted display and sighting (HMOS) system, the company announced on 9 September at DSEi.rnThe RN has ordered 12 systems to equip the rear-crew weapon stations of its WG.13 Lynx HMA.8 maritime/anti-submarine helicopters, having already ordered BAE Systems' Gunner Remote Sighting Systems (GRSSs), of which Q-Sight is a key element. The GRSSs will be delivered by May 2010.
