The US Air Force (USAF) has awarded Northrop Grumman a modified USD3.44 billion contract to continue a series of modernisation efforts tor its fleet of 20 B-2 Spirit stealth bombers.rnThe agreement, announced by the company on 21 September, raises the cost ceiling on Northrop Grumman's indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from USD6.1 billion to USD9.54 billion, although the USAF does hot have to spend up to the ceiling of the contract, accorting to Northfop Grumman.lt said thatthe service can place individual orders for products and services based on the needs of the B-2 fleet.
