The Australian government has reiterated to Joint Strike Fighter programme leader Lockheed Martin that it will not commit to purchasing the aircraft until it is confident that the JSF programme is on track.rnA statement by Greg Combet, Minister for Defence Personnel, Materiel and Science, published by the Australian Department of Defence on 29 September, said that, although the purchase of the JSF is outlined in Australia's defence White Paper, a formal decision will not be made until later this year.
