The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is considering a short-term solution of upgrading some of its Humvee fleet of instead of buying new Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs), which the top marine officer does not believe will be light enough.rn"What we offer to the nation is an assured access from the sea, so we need to get back to that, and part of that is shucking this weight that we've picked up," USMC Commandant General James Conway told reporters during a 15 December press briefing.
