South Korea's Defence Acquisition Programme Administration (DAPA) has approved the procurement of around 500 examples of the newly developed K-21 Korean Infantry Fighting Vehicle (KIFV). The DAPA expects the Republic of Korea Army (RoKA) to begin deployment of the K-21, which is intended to increase the RoKA's troop mobility, in 2009.
