The UK Royal Air Force (RAF) has revealed to Jane's that its fleet of Lockheed Martin C-130K transport air- craft flew more than 60 per cent more flight hours on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2007 than was budgeted for. The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) said the figures, released to Jane's under a UK Freedom of Information (FOI) request, do not affect the aircraft's planned out of service date (OSD) of 2012 and that it "does not expect to require a life extension programme for the C-130K".
