Israel's Hatehof Industries will unveil two protected vehicles at the Eurosatory 2008 exhibition: the Navigator - a 4 × 4 16-tonne mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) personnel carrier and the 4 × 4 Xtream - a 16-tonne high-mobility all-purpose armoured vehicle. Both vehicles were developed by Hatehof during the past four years and are designed for the urban environment and for off-road mobility. The Xtream, with a ballistic steel and aluminium composite monocoque hull structure, can accommodate up to eight personnel. It is offered in a light, nine-tonne version (providing protection against small arms) and in a heavy version (protecting against small arms fire, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and armour-piercing machine gun bullets). It can also be fitted with a reactive armour suite for protection against rocket-propelled grenades. In both versions the bottom of the vehicle is protected from landmines and grenades.
