Saab has completed two more test flights of its Gripen Demonstrator (Demo) aircraft since the first flight on 27 May, clocking up about two hours in the first phase of the programme, project manager Mafias Bergstrbm said on 25 June. Phase One of the project covers the new F-414G engine, extra pylons and strengthened and relocated landing gear. Phase Two will cover the increased fuel capacity, missile approach warner, active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, new satellite communications and new drop fuel tanks.
