Kaman Helicopters is stepping up its efforts to sell on a fleet of 11 SH-2G Super Seasprlte helicopters built for the Royal Australian Navy but never accepted into service. The company is to display an aircraft at the Black Sea Defense & Aerospace exposition in Bucharest. Romania, later in September as its kicks off a sales drive across NATO members in the Black Sea and Baltic regions. Kaman was contracted by the Australian Department of Defence in 1997 to deliver 11 SH-2G(A) helicopters to meet the requirements of Project SEA 1411. The aircraft, remanufactured from existing SH-2F airframes and incorporating a new integrated tactical avionics system (ITAS), were due for delivery from 2001.
