Boeing is looking to focus its entry into the sub-Saharan African market primarily in the field of mobility and airlift, the company's Integrated Defence Systems Vice-President (Business Development for Middle East and Africa), Jeff Johnson, told Jane's on 17 September. Speaking at African Aerospace & Defence 2008 (AAD2008) at Ysterplaat Air Force Base in Cape Town, Johnson said that the African and Middle Eastern regions are at "very different stages in their evolution".
