Two former UK Royal Navy (RN) Hunt-class mine countermeasures (MCM) vessels are to embark on a second career with the Lithuanian Navy. A EUR55 million (USD71 million) government-to-government sales agreement between the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Lithuania's Ministry of National Defence for the transfer, refit and upgrade of the two vessels, ex-HMS Cottesmore and ex-HMS Dulverton, was signed in Portsmouth on 27 November. Thales UK has been awarded the prime contractorship for the ship reactivation programme.
