The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has announced that it is reconsidering the award of the second-phase contract to the Metrix consortium under the Defence Training Review (DTR) Rationalisation Programme on the grounds that it will deliver "insufficient efficiencies", it emerged on 25 October.rnMetrix - the consortium comprising QinetiQ and Land Securities Trillium - was awarded preferred-bidder status on 17 January 2007. The venture was named preferred bidder on Package One, which comprises technical training, including aeronautical engineering and communications and information systems, and provisional preferred bidder on Package Two, which covers logistics, joint personnel administration, security, languages, intelligence and photography.
