A US Senate-backed plan to cover part of Northrop Grumman's uninsured costs arising from damage caused by Hurricane Katrina has prompted new criticism from the Bush administration and scepticism from lawmakers. Northrop Grumman, meanwhile, is warning that ship production could be delayed by between three and six months without an emergency cash infusion worth up to USD200 million from the US Navy. The impact on the schedule could lead to additional USD300 million to USD600 million in costs
