State-owned Turkish Aircraft Industries (TUSAS) now owns virtually all of TUSAS Aerospace Industries (TAI) after buying out Lockheed Martin's 42 per cent stake and General Electric International's (GEI's) seven per cent stake in the company. The purchase of the shares is key to a planned substantial overhaul of the Turkish defence industry's structure and improvement of its capabilities.
