The Netherlands government sees "no reason at this point in time" to review the expected level of $8 billion in Joint Strike Fighter (JSF)-related business for the country's defence industry. The vote of confidence came from state secretaries Cees van der Knaap (Defence Procurement) and Karien van Gennip (Economic Affairs) to the Dutch parliament on 14 January. The decision was largely based on reassurances received in December 2004 from Lockheed Martin JSF Executive Vice President and General Manager Tom Burbage, who suggested that the value of Netherlands JSF industry involvement could be as high as $11.2 billion.
