Germany's Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) has set up a new company in the Netherlands, Dutch Defence Vehicle Systems (DDVS) which will be responsible for the Netherlands-based work-share of the Dutch-German Fennek light armoured vehicle programme. DDVS, located in Geldrop near Eindhoven, includes the Fennek-related machinery and 40 staff from SP Aerospace & Vehicle Systems, which went into receivership last August.
