A wide range of recent programme introductions and pending programme milestones cover the spectrum of continuing US infantry night-vision activities. Recent research and development of image intensification (Ⅰ~2) technology has focused mainly on fielding advanced Gen Ⅲ and Gen Ⅳ image tube technologies. Supporting development has included filmed and unfilmed MicroChannel Plates (MCP) with parallel work on automatically-gated power supplies.
