The trimaran demonstrator vessel RV Triton will return to sea later this month ready to begin a period of 'storm chasing', searching for heavy seas in order to collect structural response data as part of its Phase IB trials programme.rnThese new sea trials follow the conclusion of the ship's Phase 1A trials - which concentrated on hydrodynamic and ship-handling aspects - in August this year. Triton is currently alongside at shipbuilder Vosper Thornycroft for a mini-refit before resuming its trials.
