Latvia is to purchase Spike anti-tank missiles from Rafael-Diehl-Rhein-metall joint venture EuroSpike.The EUR108 million (USD133 million) agreement was signed by Latvian Defence Minister Raimonds Bergma-nis and EuroSpike managing directors Giinter Lauer and Arie Lapidot on 12 February. The ministry said the missiles would equip its Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) and "significantly strengthen the combat capabilities of the National Armed Forces and the National Guard". Deliveries will take place to 2023.
