New Delhi has accused Islamabad of committing 513 ceasefire violations over the past six weeks along the disputed Line of Control (LoC) that divides the northern region of Kashmir between India and Pakistan. "Pakistan used heavy weaponry [artillery and mortars] duringthese ceasefire violations," Indian Army (IA) Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh, head of the 16 Corps based along the LoC, said on 14 April in the hill town of Rajouri, which is located close to the disputed border.
