Raytheon and Rheinmetall Defence are teaming up with Pratt & Miller Defense in their bid for the US Army's M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle replacement effort. On 13 August the companies announced their plans to join forces to compete for the service's Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV) with their lynx Infantry Fighting Vehicle proposal. The newest team member is expected to provide engineering support. "Pratt & Miller brings extraordinary engineering experience and expertise to the team to make sure Lynx can withstand the battlefield's harsh conditions," Brad Barnard, Raytheon's OMFV director, said in the announcement. "Our troops deserve the safest and most advanced combat vehicle possible, and that's exactly what we will deliver."
