BRDM-2M armoured reconnaissance vehicles that Russia promised to donate to Serbia in December 2016 were airlifted to Batajnica airbase, near Belgrade, on 23 July, Serbian media have reported. The delivery of 30 upgraded BRDM-2Ms is part of a wider military agreement that has already resulted in the transfer of six surplus MiG-29 fighters to Serbia in 2017. The execution of this agreement should be completed by the end of this year with the transfer of 30 modernised T-72 main battle tanks.
