Spain and Ukraine have sent requests to NATO's Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) for international assistance in their responses to Covid-19, the alliance has announced. The requests from the Spanish and Ukrainian armed forces were followed up by the EADRCC by calling on international partners to provide humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian and Spanish ministries of defence to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the military units of the two countries' armed forces, as well as in Spain's civilian population. A NATO official told Jane's that the EADRCC functions as a clearing house for co-ordinating both requests and offers of assistance from alliance members and partners.
