An Indian aerospace joint venture (JV) between local corporation Reliance and France's Dassault Aviation has restarted production in line with the Indian government's effort to gradually open up parts of the country after several weeks of strict lockdown due to Covid-19. Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL) said on 20 April that it had recommenced production activity at its facility in a special economic zone in Mihan, near the central Indian city of Nagpur. At this plant DRAL produces components for Dassault's Rafale fighter aircraft and Falcon 2000 business jet for international supply chains. DRAL said in a statement, "In the first phase DRAL will operate at 25-30% of its current strength and gradually scale up operations in consultation with the district administration and Mihan authorities."
