Turkish Aerospace (TA) has delivered the first life-extended Turkish F-16 Block 30 fighter back to Turkish Air Force Command (TAFC), Turkey's Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) announced on 25 July.The structural life of 35 Block 30 F-16s is planned to be increased to 12,000 hours from the current 8,000 hours, said the SSB."Within the scope of structural improvements carried out by TA, reinforcement was applied on the body of the Block 30, with repair and replacement where necessary," it said.According to photographs shared by the SSB on its Twitter feed, the first aircraft to have completed the life extension process was an F-16D twin-seater.
