The Royal Bahraini Naval Forces (RBNF) formally took delivery of a new patrol ship in Portsmouth, United Kingdom, on 7 August, the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has announced. The BDF said the ship was handed over by BAE Systems and has been named RBNS Al-Zubara. It released a photograph showing a River-class vessel in Portsmouth, making it the former HMS Clyde, which BAE Systems leased to the Royal Navy from 2007 until it was decommissioned in Portsmouth in December 2019 when British newspapers reported it had been sold to Brazil.
