Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) and Rheinmetall Landsysteme have awarded Thales UK a contract worth GBP180 million (USD253.2 million) to supply and integrate the Protector RS4 remote weapon station (RWS) and Acusonic shot detection system into the UK's Boxer armoured vehicle, the company and the British Army announced on their websites on 19 February. The work will be conducted at Thales' Glasgow Vehicle Integration Centre.
