Lockheed Martin and Aerojet Rocketdyne announced on 19 February that they have received a second information request from the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as part of the regulatory review of Lockheed Martin's proposed acquisition of Aerojet Rocketdyne. Both companies said that the additional request was "expected" and Lockheed Martin indicated it is "working co-operatively" with the FTC. "We continue to expect to complete the acquisition in the second half of 2021," the company said. The disclosures came two days after CEO Greg Hayes of rival Raytheon Technologies expressed concern at an investor conference that, if the acquisition receives approval, Lockheed Martin could make it difficult for its competitors to buy Aerojet Rocketdyne products. Most of Raytheon's missiles use Aerojet Rocketdyne propulsion systems.
