Raytheon UK has recently undergone a transformation of its business lines in response to the changing defence landscape. Jeff Lewis, who took over as the company's CEO in June 2020, recently outlined to Janes the rationale behind the moves. "Our defence sector is evolving; the threats are changing," Lewis explained, "so we said, 'Let's take a fresh look at the way the business is organised and look if we could be much more agile, much more focused [and] much more aligned with both the government's spending plans and the threats that are going to evolve.'" The company therefore split its business into two main areas: a cyberspace and training business, which Lewis noted "is where a lot of the focus will be in the future"; and a weapons and sensors business.
