Greece's General Directorate for Defense Investments and Armaments (GDDIA) announced on 9 April that it had signed the sixth contract amendment to its NH90 helicopter contract with NHIndustries. Greece originally ordered 20 NH90s, with an option for 14 more, in 2003. The GDDIA said this contract was for 16 Troop Transport Helicopters (TTHs) and four NH90 special operations helicopters, plus four medical evacuation sets. However, the contract was then amended a number of times. Greek defence blogs reported that the latest contract modification would cover the last six NH90s originally on order since 2003.
