Turkey's Ministry of National Defence has suggested it will equip forces loyal to Libya's Government of National Accord (GNA) with air-defence systems, when it revealed on 5 February that it is providing relevant training to Libyans. The ministry said that 20 Libyans were attending the Turkish Air Defence School and Training Centre Command in Konya and had been given "comprehensive training" on counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (C-UAV) systems, radars, and towed anti-aircraft guns.It released a video and photographs showing the Libyans training with a Korkut self-propelled anti-aircraft gun system, a GDF twin 35 mm towed anti-aircraft gun, and a Kalkan Ⅱ radar. The Libyans were also seen with C-UAV systems, including a trailer-mounted Aselsan Ihtar, which uses radar and electro-optics to detect and track small UAVs and radio-frequency jammers to disrupt them.
