Three more F-35A Joint Strike Fighters (JSFs) arrived at Norway's 0rland Main Air Station on 11 August, the Norwegian Defence Materiel Administration (NDMA) announced on its website. The Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) has now received 21 F-35As in Norway and 10 for testing and training at Luke Air Force Base in the United States. The NDMA said there would be a focus until 2025 on joint training and integration of the F-35A into Norwegian and allied forces. In the autumn Norwegian F-35As and their pilots and ground crews will go to the Netherlands for a weapon instructor course while the RNoAF prepares a new quick-reaction alert base at Evenes for 2022, when the JSF takes over the task from F-16s.
