Israel's RADA Electronic Industries has agreed to form a joint venture (JV) in India with Bangalore-based Alpha Design Technologies (ADTL). RADA said in a 16 August press release that the JV will "market, manufacture, sell, and support" its radar systems in the Indian market. The company added that its investment in the JV reflects its business strategy to establish a strong local presence in key markets. The value of investment in the JV was not disclosed. Under Indian foreign direct investment (FDI) rules updated in 2020 overseas investors can own up to 74% of equity in a local defence firm.
