Schiebel has worked with Canadian GPS technology specialist, NovAtel to counter the GPS jamming the company's S-100 Cam-copter experienced in Ukraine. The S-100 made its maiden flight in support of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe's (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) on 23 October 2014, where the system is providing an airborne monitoring capability. The OSCE announced on 4 November that its S-100 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) had been subjected to what the organisation described as "military-grade GPS jamming" twice whilst observing activity in Chermalyk to the northeast of Mariupol, near the border between Ukraine and Russia where the platform had been observing movements.
