In 2014 MBDA Italia unveiled its concept of a mobile, land-based Marte coastal battery system that would utilise the Mk 2/N and ER variants of the Marte missile as the effector within a networked maritime coastal traffic surveillance system. The standard system configuration proposed by MBDA Italia comprises a shelter-based command-and-control (C2) module fitted onto a truck, and up to four firing stations, each with a four-round launcher. A reload vehicle and logistic support vehicle would also be attached to the system.
