The US Army is beginning to introduce Programs of Record (PoR) for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), starting with smaller systems and moving towards autonomous convoy technology. The Manual Transport Robotic System (MTRS) Increment Ⅱ is the army's most near-term acquisition programme for a UGV, Scott Davis, the army's programme executive officer for Combat Support and Combat Service Support, said during late October's AUVSI defence systems symposium in Arlington, Virginia.
