Thales Nederland is set to reveal a new capability upgrade package for the Squire battlefield radar at the 2014 Eurosatory defence exhibition in Paris in June. The new Squire package is essentially a mid-life update, with all newbuild Squire systems being delivered in this standard henceforth but the enhancements also being made available to users of the 400 or so earlier radar systems currently in service as an upgrade package. The latter option would take six weeks from delivery of the radar to Thales Nederland's facility in Hengelo and can be worked into the radar's standard maintenance schedule.
