摘要

The Eurosatory 2012 exhibition was the venue for the launch of Harris' latest dual-band software-defined HF/VHF manpack, the RF-7800H-MP, which it has now added to its Falcon III radio family compliant with the US software communications architecture (SCA) standard. The RF-7800H-MP remains interoperable with the company's Falcon IIRF-5800H-MP manpack launched in 1998, but is smaller (83x200x234 mm), lighter (3.9 kg without battery) and has 10 times the data throughput (up to 120 kbit/s). This is thanks to the use of the new MIL-STD-188-1 10C Appendix D wideband HF data waveform, which enables data transmissions over bandwidths from 3-24 kHz.
