Sagem announced a successful test-firing of the 125 kg version of its AASM (Armement Air-Sol Modulaire) air-to-ground weapon on 12 February. The test was carried out on 27 January at the CELM (Centre d'Essais de Lancement de Missiles) missile test range of the French defence procurement agency in Biscarosse and the flight test centre in Cazaux.rnAeromechanical studies of the ASSM-125 were carried out by Sagem at its research and development centre in Eragny, near Paris. To prepare for the trial, the weapon was validated on the ground by a simulated mission conducted on an integration test bench. This was followed by a carry trial conducted at Istres on 24 October 2008 using Mirage 2000N No. 303 ABE, the aircraft assigned to conduct the planned flight test.
