Thales Nederland has expanded its naval radar portfolio with the introduction of a new member of its dual-axis multibeam active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar family. Known as the NS200, the new system builds on the existing NS100 E/F (S)-band rotating AESA radar but introduces new functions and a higher power array in order to meet requirements for extended long-range (ELR) performance. A production-standard first-of-class radar was displayed at Euronaval 2016 following a test schedule conducted at Thales Nederland's Hengelo site.
