The US Navy (USN) has flown its Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) out of Iceland as NATO looks to more effectively monitor the Greenland/Iceland/UK (GIUK) Gap. The US Naval Forces Europe Command on 1 November posted a Tweet in which it disclosed that an aircraft from Patrol Squadron (VP)-45 had conducted "routine operations" out of Keflavik.
