Cotecmar shipyard in Cartagena launched the Colombian Navy's first locally built coastal patrol vessel ARC Punta Espada on 31 October. Laid down on 27 December 2013, the vessel is third in a planned class of 14. ARC Punta Ardita and ARC Punta Soldado - built at South Korea's STX Offshore & Shipbuilding - were launched on 31 July and are due to be delivered by year-end.
