A refurbished Sea Dolphin-class fast-attack craft (FAC) donated by South Korea was commissioned into the Ghana Navy on 21 January. GNS Stephen Otu (P33) re-entered service as the west African nation embarks on a procurement programme that includes two secondhand Gepard-class FACs from Germany and five new-build patrol vessels from China and South Korea. Stephen Otu was built by a previous incarnation of Hanjin Heavy Industries and commissioned into the Republic of Korea Navy in 1982 as PKM 237.
