The US Navy (USN) is combining all aspects of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) into a single Program Executive Office (PEO), Sean Stackley, the US Navy's assistant secretary for research, development and acquisition has announced to the service. The new PEO LCS will combine the previously separate programme offices responsible for developing the specialised mission modules and the office responsible for the development of the 'seaframes' and other auxiliary programme offices, Stackley said in remarks during a USN 'All Hands Call' on 4 May.
